Thank you for your help. There must be another cause than what you mention. This system was working perfectly until three days ago when I upgraded Logic from 10.1.1 to 10.2. I never open my projects by using aliases ever. Nothing has been moved from anywhere to anywhere else. everything is saved to my external drive. I open Logic by the icon on my dock and Logic opens with the last project, as set in preferences. My external hard drive has only my project files. No, I have not used an alias to relocate any content. Ps- I can post the crash report if anyone wants to see it. If I open David Nahmani's lesson project first, close that project, and then open my project and immediately click-hold anything in the Logic menu bar, it sometimes works. I tried uninstalling Automap and reinstalling but it changed nothing. I use an Apollo Quad interface, and Novation 49SL MKII (which has not been connected but I do have Novation's Automap installed). All of the Logic application files are on my MacBook Pro. All of my project files, with the exception of David's, are on my external HD. ![]() It also worked fine with David Nahmani’s Lessons and Media files, which I have in a folder on my desktop. It did open fine with Core Audio disabled. I have seen some posts related to this but not exactly my issue. After updating to Logic 10.2 from 10.1.1, I can't get it to open without repeatedly quitting "unexpectedly" in about three seconds. ![]()
